Etched glass always has that little extra: several layers of colored glass are melted on top of each other, after which the top layer is removed with the help of an acid or an engraving machine. The latter is the case for these vases named Folla: with great patience, nerf-like motifs were engraved on the matte brown surface so that you can almost see through them.
